Wanes is the proud winner of the 2016 WorkSafeBC Safety Innovation Award. Scanning with a thermography scanner identified a malfunctioning electrical switch before it resulted in unplanned downtime, or a fire. Wanes now regularly scans all electrical switches and disconnects within the plant and compares the scan results to a recorded baseline.
